Jonathon Brown- Principal Dentist & Director BDS BSc MJDF PG Diploma Implant Dentistry GDC 56137 

Jonathon graduated from the Bart’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry with honours, and distinctions in 2009. As an undergraduate Jonathon won the award for outstanding academic achievement and the BATLA elective award. He continued to win prizes during his foundation training and completed a senior house officer post in the restorative, oral medicine and oral surgery departments at Guy’s Hospital.  After completing his house officer post Jonathon was asked to stay on as an oral surgery specialty dentist at Guy’s hospital.  

Jonathon worked at Guy’s hospital since between 2011 and 2019. Jonathon is proficient in the assessment, diagnosis and management of complex oral surgery cases. Jonathon has extensive experience having carried out wisdom tooth and surgical extractions. In addition to his clinical role Jonathon has presented an audit at the national conference for the British Association of Oral Surgeons and is a co-author of a published case report.

Jonathon has gained his Diploma of Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England.  He is also a member of the British Dental Association and the Society for the Advancement of Aneasthesia in Dentistry and the International Team for Implantology. 

Jonathon has also completed advanced postgraduate training in dental implants and has a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the internationally acclaimed Eastman Dental Institute. Jonathon regularly attends courses and seminars to keep abreast of the latest techniques and technology and has completed over 1000 hours of additional training and professional development. 

Jonathon is also an educational supervisor, which means he supports and mentors newly qualified dentists during their first year of work to ensure they are safe to work as an NHS dentist.

Jonathon has had advanced implant training and has been mentored by some of the leading implant dentist in the country to ensure he produces high quality, safe and predictable implant treatment.  Jonathon has a particular interest in guided implant treatment using state of the art digital implant planning software and 3D scanning technology.

Although very adept at removing teeth and replacing them with dental implants, Jonathon seeks to retain teeth wherever possible. He places great emphasis on good gum health and home care to maintain existing dental work and prevent future problems.

Paul Isaacs- Dentist BDS DGDP GDC 56137

Paul grew up in Buckhurst Hill and studied Dentistry at what is now The Royal London hospital. He set up his first practice in London Docklands as the areas transformation began, providing care to both the established and new communities.  During this time he was also involved in organising and providing Foundation Training for newly qualified dentists and worked part time for the University of London.

2000 saw his move back to Buckhurst Hill and starting the Queens Dental Practice. It has always been his aim to offer ethical and evidence based care and to involve patients in the decision making about treatments. After nearly twenty years he was delighted to hand over to Jonathon Brown who brings a great deal of experience, as well as new skills to the practice, and is perfectly placed to take the practice forwards.

Now working part time, Paul still enjoys dentistry, and in particular the long-term relationships that he has built up with many of the patients.

Priya Bahal- Periodontist BDS MFDS MSc GDC 191822

Priya qualified as a dentist from the University of Bristol in 2010. In 2012 by examination she was awarded membership of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and in 2018, Priya completed a postgraduate Master’s degree on the topic of Dentine Hypersensitivity. Priya has worked in a number of teaching and district hospitals throughout the UK and has always maintained a position as a dentist in general practice with a special interest in periodontology and gum disease management.

Priya is currently in the second year of an intensive postgraduate training programme to become a specialist in Periodontology and dental implants at Guy’s Hospital in Central London.  In that role she treats patients with advanced gum disease and in conjunction with King’s College London, is carrying out research on the treatment of molars (back teeth) which suffer from advanced gum disease.

At the Queens Dental Practice Priya offers expert advice and treatment for patients who suffer from gum disease. Together Priya and Alice our hygienist work together to stabilise and maintain the gum health for our patients.


Alice Murphy– Hygienist and Dental Therapist Diploma Dental Therapy & Diploma Dental Hygiene

Alice has been working at The Queens Dental Practice for nearly 20 years.  She was here when we first opened the doors in 2000. Working as nurse, receptionist and manageress Alice helped Paul Isaacs to get the practice up and running.  In 2005, and after five fully committed years at the practice Alice went to train as a dental therapist and hygienist at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in central London. In 2008 we were delighted to welcome Alice back to the practice as a newly qualified hygienist and therapist. Since then Alice has developed a very popular hygiene service and continues to be an invaluable member of our team. 

Alice is an excellent hygienist as she appreciates the importance of showing somebody the best way to care for their mouth. Alice is great at motivating patients to sometimes change habits of a lifetime, so that they can be rewarded with a healthy mouth for life, that feels good and often gives them more confidence.

Alice offers direct access which means patients are able to see her without a prior examination by a dentist beforehand.

Alice is extremely popular with our patients and works alongside Priya the practice periodontist as well as the other dentists to establish and maintain the long-term gum and dental health of our patients. 

Raya Kirilova- Dental Nurse Diploma in Dental Nursing GDC 269132

Raya lives locally with her young family. Raya joined us in 2017 after working in a very busy practice and gaining her diploma in dental nursing. Her friendly manner, commitment and efficiency have made her an invaluable part of our team and extremely popular with our patients.  Raya's passion for nursing and caring for people is evident for all to see. She  is always looking for ways to improve the service and care that we provide.
